Hmm the script doesn't work anymore for a few days. Even after installing the updated version there is nothing displayed.

Last.fm seems to have changed something in the backgruond...but what? :(

Hi Andrew,

Latest Beta has gone live - any chance of a script update to support the new changes?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

It doesn't work for my top artists, just my weekly. Is it supposed to work for everything and not just the top artists?

There is a Last.fm Album Chart - Script:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/3397

Would it be possible to integrate the resulting chart in your script?

If it's not possible or if it's too much work -> just leave it the way it is ;) (for it's great!!!)

I disabled the overall chart changes for a few days while I rewrote the server side script as the load from all you Last.fmers was bringing it down :-(

I have changed it to use a database rather than a directory of files and things appear to be running smoothly now :-)

Enjoy!
Andrew

It seems indiegigs.co.uk is a little...screwed.

I guess beta might change yet but would like to see it working as soon as the changes go live. Can't live without this script now... :D

Any chance of a fix for beta.last.fm? That would be excellent.

Mine has now moved forward and is currently compared to Dec 20 (1 month ago). As I check my page nearly every day I guess, from what Andrew said, that it will continue to roll forward.

So if I understand correctly, in about a week's time my charts will be compared to a date later than december 25th? But then what about those guys whose charts are compared to about 2 months ago? (like Mark_H) Anyway, I kinda have the feeling 30 days is a bit long, I think 7 would be better!
Sorry for the hassle. :)
Regards,
Jelle

Andrew Wilki... Script's author

Every time someone visits a user's page my server stores a copy of the charts as they are on that day. The script then compares the current chart to the newest stored chart that is at least 30 days old. If noone visits your userpage for a few days then the charts aren't stored so the date to which the charts are compared against may be longer that 30 days ago.

I can't do anything to do with when the charts were generated as Last.fm don't provide that information in their xml data. I chose 30 days because that gives quite a big time for changes, however I do admit that if you're a new user to Last.fm then the charts change a lot. It's a tricky balance to make.

HTH,
Andrew

Yes indeed. Is it possible to code that? Andrew Wilkinson or someone else maybe? Thanks!
