I didn't write this, I just found it on the web. Seems to work great, and it is very useful.

Works both for Windows Update (though if you're in firefox thats meaningless) and for downloading from microsoft.com itself (ex: DirectX 9 SDK)

You may need to refresh once or twice for the download center to notice the new cookie.
