Gmail Word Count
Adds a button to count the number of words in your current draft. Goes in as a text link to the left of "Check Spelling."
Planned improvements:
* Display selected number of words as well as total number of words.
* Support for multiple drafts in a single conversation, which will make adding support for drafts in the middle of a conversation trivial.
* Fix the lag issue where the "Word Count" button doesn't get added sometimes. Currently fix is to click the appropriate one of: Reply, Reply to All, or Forward.
* Prevent autosave from making the span element a part of the draft (in the unlikely case that Gmail autosaves during the few seconds that a word count is displayed).
* Add support for plain text e-mails. Is this something that people want?
Note:
* Uses Gmail's Greasemonkey API and, as such, only works with Gmail's new Javascript implementation.

Cool script. Not sure why I need it yet, but I like it. |
