This script is kinda old and not as good as others. I recommend you to take a look at "gmap extra" http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/1706

It's a very good one.

I'm not a programmer but couldn't get it to work using FF 1.0.5. on a Mac OS 10.3.9. Nothing shows above the link after the click.
