Flickr tags for Geobloggers

Add tags for Geobloggers on Google Maps

Geobloggers is a tool that mixes Google Maps and Flickr to point out where your photos were taken on the map. However, it is not easy to read the geo data on Google Maps. Tags for Geobloggers is a Greasemonkey user script for Firefox. Users who are using Firefox with Greasemonkey can see the coordinates shown on the Google map. The coordinate is displayed as the format for Geobloggers use.

Instructions:

1. Download the user script geotags.user.js and install.
2. Center the map on Goolge Maps by double clicking at the desired position.
3. Click the link "Link to this page" on the right and upper corner.
4. You will see the tags for geobloggers shown above the link you just clicked.

As Google Maps can be accessed via both local.google.com and maps.google.com you must edit the script if you want it to run with "local.google.com". In the script i changed the "re" variable from "maps.google.com/maps" to "local.google.com/local".

It seems that google has changed the name of the linkID from "linktopage" to "link". So you have to change this in the script at line 33.

You could comment on this script if you were logged in.
