I created a script to restore a user's tracked tag list to the dashboard. This script also includes a new post count that updates every 30 seconds. The ability to track/untrack tags from the sidebar appears to have been removed by Tumblr, so that's not currently feature of this script.
Tested in Chrome and Firefox. If you run into any issues, let me know.
Updated 03/10/13-- Fixed issues created by Tumblr's latest update. Post counts now report correctly for tags, and tracked tags have been restored to tag pages. Some tag pages will generate duplicate lists of tracked tags, only one of which will report a post count. I'm not sure how to avoid this at the moment; for some reason the code I was originally using to generate the list on all pages isn't working.
