Surely it can be inserted in the script as base64 and the actual code is not complicated at all.

In fact, all you have to do is to replace the location of the picture, (example: http://yahoo.com/picture.gif) with the base64 code.

I don't have time right now to modify the script, but either you modify it or wait a day or two.
I'll take some time to modify the script, but I will not replace this one, I will upload it as a new one, so the beginners will not get confused and every one will use the best method to insert the favorite pictures (either as an URL or making their own pictures as base64).

Could image life be assured indefinitely if they were stored in the script as URI data base64, and then before pasted to the page uploaded to one's choice of image hosting, then that url written?

It would add a bit of script complexity but there wouldn't be a shared load on any one url

This script can be modified easily to insert any picture you want as an emoticon.

Take a look at the full Yahoo! and MSN emoticons list and install this script instead to copy the URL for each emoticon.

While searching for some Firefox extensions through the web, I've found an interesting and useful script which can help to insert emoticons in Blogger posts.

This script must be installed through the Greasemonkey extension and it works only when the Blogger post interface is in "Compose" mode, not "edit HTML".

It simply allows you to insert any image in your posts, from the Yahoo! and MSN emoticos, to animated gifs or any picture format.

27-11-2007: all Yahoo! emoticons (normal and hidden ones) are available in the script

You can easily edit the script with Notepad.
