For those of you having trouble with an error message when you 'd' key while entering text on the gmail site, I suggest the following workaround:
NOTE: This will disable the ability to delete messages by pressing a hotkey. To arantius : Is there any way that the hotkey can be assigned to a key sequence? (i.e <ctrl><shift><t> ?)</t></shift></ctrl></backspace> |

You could always use the gmail smart-delete button which is also posted on this website (though you should check the original website for the updated script). Last I heard, it works great for both 1.5 and 1.0.7 (two different versions are available). |

Note that new versions have a number of configuration options built in (Look in tools, user script commands)! You can choose the position, color, and text of the button. You can also choose which key to use for the keyboard shortcut. |

It breaks on the spam screen as this screen has a "delete forever " button that is replace by this delete button that in just this screen sits there and does nothing at all |

Also doesn't work with greasemonkey 0.5.3 and Deer Park Alpha 2. Which is a shame because the compiled version, works fine with Deer Park Alpha 2. |
