Resize images icon

Last update on Sep 28, 2007

Resize any image with a simple resize icon.

Usage

Let the cursor hover over any image for more than half a second and a resize icon will appear on the bottom right of the image. Click and drag the icon to resize the image. Double-click the resize icon to revert the image to its original size.

Notes

  • Images where the width and height is less that 50px are excluded (this is an arbitrary hard-coded limit).
  • There are still a few bugs like the icon not disappearing correctly and incorrect icon placement on images within scrollable divs.

What doesn't resize correctly? Pages may not return to their original form if an image is resized to larger dimensions but that is an issue with page flow (AFAIK).

As for showing the original size of the image you can see it when you hover over the the resize icon. I would like to add the ability to see the size of the image as you resize (if I get the time), thanks for the idea.

Cheers,
Dan

I like it, but when you resize, it doesn't go all the way back down. I would also *love* it if you would put how many pixels it starts out of, and it shows you the pixel amount as you expand/retract.
