Script Summary: Lets you write comments on properties and hide those you don't like. Changes are saved, so when you visit this popular real estate website another day, you see your own comments, and ugly houses are still hidden.
I have moved to different apartments several times during the last years. Each time it takes a lot of time finding one. One problem with all property websites is that they don't let you hide a property forever, when you have decided it's not for you (too expensive, too small, ugly place). Then when you visit the site the next day, and new properties are added, you have no idea if you checked them before or not.
This script lets you browse the properties at immobilienscout24.de and write comments for each property. You can also hide a property if you don't want to see it again. The comments are saved automatically when you click outside the comment box. The script saves all comments and hidden/shown state for each property in your own computer. When you visit the site tomorrow, the comments and hidden properties will be still there. No loggin in anywhere, no saving.
To try it out: install the script, visit http://www.immobilienscout24.de/, then click Wohnungen, click Berlin, choose a price range or something to filter out the result, click Ergebnisse Anzeigen, and then in the list each property will have a 'hide' button and a text area just below where you can write comments.
Warning: it's the very first version. It may have bugs. But it's helping me already with the searches. I don't expect anyone to find it here, but who knows... It may give ideas for similar scripts for other websites where you search for something in a list during a period of several days, or where you would like to write comments for yourself about items (software programs, cameras, cell phones, news articles...)
The script loads the jQuery library from my server (version 1.1.4). I may remove it from there in the future, and in that case this script would stop working. You should use your own copy of jQuery, and change the GM_QJ.src = '...' part.
The next version will include comments and improvements (showing and being able to edit the property comment and hidden state in the details page of one property in ImmobilienScout24)
