Minibuffer

version 2008.02.16

this script emulate CUI environment in your browser.

1. hit alt+x and Minibuffer will appear at the bottom of browser.

2. type 'location | google-cache | open' and Enter key.

3. google cache of current page will open in new tab.

if you want to register new command, refer to bottom of minibuffer.user.js



these greasemonkey scripts are supporting Minibuffer.
after install these scripts,
1. click monkey at status bar
2. select "Manage User Scripts..."
3. sort scripts so that Minibuffer is arranged at top of these scripts by mouse drag.

btw, I read something about the problem that may surface from the order you install the above scripts to GM. If so, please note about that also.

and I don't think M-x is really a "toggle Minibuffer"
You need to hit Esc or C-g to get out of the minibuffer. Maybe a "Open Minibuffer" would describe it better?

The idea is real cool, and I think this is an awesome script though there is very little explained.

While you could easily guess since this is named "minibuffer" and states that it emulates CLI, it would be nice if you could at least put a list of key bindings in the description.

I was able to use Bookmark Command and twitcommands to post to delicious and send message to twitter from this minibuffer.

I suppose by using the "pin" command of LDRize, you can apply action to multiple items, though I haven't tried that yet. Will play around with this for a while.

I love the idea of bringing a slick CLI to firefox . Great work!
