Allows commenting your friends' entries without leaving the page

This script allows commenting your friends' entries without any page reloads. Uses Ajax.

Supports smart quoting and wiki codes from Ctrl+Enter:

Adds some Unicode beauty to the text submitted:

* proper quotes.
* (c) => ©
* (r) => ®
* (tm) => ™
* ... => …
* uses n-dash and m-dash

Also, understands wiki styling:

**word** => word
//word// => word
--word-- => <s>word</s>
__word__ => <u>word</u>

May 12, 2008 brownbetty User	I'm not sure if it's something LJ did recently, or if it's because I'm using the FF 3 beta, but it seems to be broken again. This is definitely my most-used script, so I'm hoping for a fix.

One change I made, though, was to add the following: this.style.border = '' this.style.padding = '' to the beginning of the post_comment() function, right up at the top of the script. That way, after you've posted a comment and the border turned green or red to let you know if the post was successful or failed, clicking on the "Instant Comment" link again will remove the border.
