Usage:

On a Mac:

ctrl v - Views the current digg item
ctrl d - Digg's the current digg item

On Linux and Windows:

shift alt v - Views the current digg item
shift alt d - Digg's the current digg item

Note:

You must be viewing the individual digg item's page for the shortcuts to work. So these will not work on a page that lists several items, like the home page.

About:

I use Google Reader's keyboard shortcuts to quickly browse my subscriptions. Adding these keyboard shortcuts to digg enables me to get to the content quicker, and with the same interface (the keyboard). I no longer have to reach for my mouse or trackpad to view the item digg links to.

Example:

(In Google Reader)

* j/k (next item/previous item, to select an item to read)
* v (view item, opens page in new tab)

(at digg.com)

* ctrl v (view item, opens page in new tab)
