Script Summary: Script to fix the new and annoying chat sidebar on Facebook. Allows for hiding offline contacts and ordering contacts by onlin/idle/offline status. NEW: Now also adds a "Hide sidebar" button, no more two clicks to close the damn thing!
Facebook recently introduced a new chat sidebar, which is extremely annoying to use.
This script fixes some of it's problems.
- you can order contacts by online/idle/offline status
- you can hide offline contacts
- and of course you can turn both settings off
- NEW: a button is added to hide the sidebar when it is open!
The settings are remembered by using localStorage, a new HTML5 way of storing data.
This means it will only work on Firefox 3.6+ and other HTML5 supporting browsers!!
Use the Greasemonkey script commands to set your preferred actions.
Greasemonkey button -> User script commands -> Hide contacts.
Use "Show settings" to view your current settings.The script takes a while to refresh your settings, this is to relieve your system from unnecessary stress, please be patient.
Please add the "I Hate The New FB Chat Sidebar" on Facebook!
