Please note: If you have the LJ sitescheme class adder or LJ 'vertigo' class userscripts installed, you should remove them before installing this script. Thank you.

LiveJournal has a number of siteschemes available, including Horizon, Vertigo, XColibur, Dystopia and Lynx. However, it is almost impossible currently to do good restylings since there is no way to identify which sitescheme is being used, and there are also non-siteschemed pages such as journals.

This script will add classnames to the body tag depending on the sitescheme used, and (if the user is using Horizon or Vertigo) will also add a class indicating if the user is logged in or logged out. Currently it only supports Horizon and Vertigo (v1 and v2), but since these are the schemes which have the most restyling potential, I'm releasing this script now.

This script is mostly meant to be used in conjunction with the 'skins' that are available from the 'ljskins' LJ community. If you design a skin with this script, please consider submitting it to the community - read the Submission Guide for more info.

Note that this script will do nothing on its own. In order to see its effects, you will need to use an additional stylesheet which uses the classnames it provides. The recommended means of doing this is by using the Stylish extension on Firefox, although it is possible to use other browsers too; see your browser's documentation for more details on installing stylesheets.
