Script Summary: Changes the flags to custom ones (gosquared and famfamfam included) and sets the languages you don't speak to transparent.
What it does
The script exchanges the flags with glossy ones (you can use your own ones if you want; i will help you if you want to do so, and i would be happy to have several flag options).
The flags are designed by James Gill, from GoSquared (http://www.gosquared.com/liquidicity/archives/1493), and they are donationware so if you like them, please donate for his great work. You can also use a different popular flag set by famfamfam.com or you can disable the flags, showing only country codes anymore (for those who feel that languages should not be represented by flags).
The script also makes the languages you don't speak or don't want to focus on a transparent.
But how does it know what languages you speak? It integrates into your profile page. There you can choose the languages you speak by typing them into a the input (comma separated) or by just clicking on the respective flag. Also you can set the opacity (which is the opposite of transparency) of the flags not in your languages from a drop-down. And you can choose the flag-set from a drop-down. Of course you can disable both the transparency or the changing of the flags by choosing "off" in the drop-down.
The script works in
- Firefox with "Greasemonkey" add-on (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/gre...),
- Chrome with "Blank Canvas Script Handler" by Jerome Dane (which you can find in the chrome webstore: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search?q=Bla...).
- Opera with "Emulate Greasemonkey functions" by Mark Wilton-Jones (http://userjs.org/scripts/browser/enhancements/...). (Unfortunately you have to use an old version http://userscripts.org/scripts/version/101631/3... the new one is not debugged yet)
Feedback and suggestions are always welcome!
I hope you enjoy it!
