Tried it today (201/09/09) on Vimeo's new layout and it's not working. (Test case: http://vimeo.com/23237102)
Unfortunately it seems this doesn't work any more. The code looks good and the link placement could be improved, as has been suggested in other reviews.
It looks like Vimeo have changed something and you now get a colourful Vimeo error page rather than the download. Pity.
It links to some silly website (despite stating that it doesn't need any 3rd party websites). Can't download any video with it.
Also it places the link in the most stupid place, instead of placing it inside video information box.
Simply doesn't work
Not too nice the yellow link added to the top, but do exactly what it is meant to!
Note : Use right-click then "Save target as..." if to save it if it starts playing with some other player such as Quicktime or VLC.
But i do have some issues with such a rush way to put a direct-download-link into the page.
For me, i just changed a couple of lines and it did come perfectly into vimeo's design-pattern:
"New" function addLink:
--
--
function addhLink(nnl) {
var nn = document.getElementById("pervert");
nn.innerHTML = '\<a\ href\=\"'+nnl+'\"\ \>Direct\ Download\ Link\ \<\/a\>';
}
--
--
So, instead of flagging the video you can download it and show others. More social-improved flag-version.)
All Addons and scripts don't work accept this! Brialliant helper!
