There are many igoogle enhancement scripts/gadgets out there - but this is the only script that I've found which allows the reader to flag and condense read items. It makes igoogle capable of managing a huge number of blogs and news feeds. The ability to track, flag as read, condense the igoogle page is huge.

I got hooked on this approach based on Matt's original google Gadget. After igoogle disabled some of the more advanced gadget abilities to improve "security", I searched through almost all the other web aggregators to try and find a way replicate the the functionality. Nothing came close. News readers couldn't easily segregate the data or required multiple clicks to get to all the data. Other web aggregators, displayed everything or nothing (you could "iconize" a gadget but there was no intelligence or even a flag to indicate new items).

I'm blown away that this feature, which seems so obviously valuable, but is unavailable anywhere I've looked.

Kudos Matt, on the creativity of the idea, the execution and the continued enhancement. Keep up the great work!

This script used to work better. Last week I'd probably have given it FIVE stars. Its not Better igoogle that turned to trash just igoogle. Hope that someone can fix BI to overcome the lobotomy that Google gave igoogle.

Maybe someone can write a copy of "iBing" but don't give the code to MS they'll patch it every Tuesday!

I guess Google doesn't know when to leave things alone.

And then folks try to "fix" it but every time a browser changes or I giggle, I gaggle, igoogle staff don't have anything better to do they change things so that "fixes" might not work.

Didn't have problems with folks adding features to "Atari Break-Out" makes the good old days look better.
