No longer works. When you click anywhere on the page it stops and then instantly starts again. Obviously its broken. I will go for an official firefox addon instead

I figured out that if you install tampermonkey on Chrome it works perfectly! Just uninstall the script and reinstall it after you add tampermonkey. ;)Before it would work when I first installed it, but I think after a refresh or browser restart the button would disappear. Hope this helps someone having the same issue.
with FF 8.0 and the new youtube layout...
thank you so much!!!
Finally, a script that says it removes those annoyingly idiotic in-video ads, AND ACTUALLY DOES REMOVE THEM!
That alone was worth the trip! Than you!
Love this script, does everything it says.
Overall its a good script but shrink/expand doesn't work. You can fix it by using http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/74588 with this script.
10 star rating !
This has all the important features that I want for youtube and it works perfectly.
Thankyou very much for this userscript JoeSimmons !
Nicely thought out, has a settings panel for you to choose options which is great because I actually don't want auto hd. The settings let me choose to keep to the medium quality I prefer.
A small question point is that the script plays the video for a few seconds before stopping and rewinding to buffer. But the function still works so that's fine.
Whoever invented this user script was a genius! Now that I have it set up to 1080p, I know I will get that highest quality, now without having to manually change it! Also, if the quality is below 1080p, it will automatically revert to the highest quality of that respected video. But, for those of you using Firefox 4 Beta (including me), you probably know that you cannot save your settings for some strange reason. But, to solve that problem, just download the previous version of Firefox (don't uninstall your beta), and just change your settings there. Then, once you're done with that, you can then uninstall the previous version of Firefox, but don't remove user data + customizations.
