Great for increasing your Friendfeed signal to noise ratio , May 30, 2009

I have been using Friendfeed for a couple of months now, and Micah's scripts have helped to make a great experience a wonderful one.

This is a fine example of how he has managed to do that.

For all of the wonderful content generated by the people that I subscribe to there is some content that I am not interested in (sorry peps :-) ). While Friendfeed has some great tools for filtering out those items sometimes the people are ahead of Friendfeed.

I use this script to do two things for me.

1) Filter out Twitter @ replies. Friendfeed only let's me block all Twitter items or no Twitter items. With this script in place I can see new Twitter posts from people, but not see @ replies to other people.

2) Filter out some of the current memes that are floating around.

In a nutshell, if you find that the Friendfeed content filters are not quite working for you then you should give this script a try out.

On a final note Micah has been wonderfully responsive and helpful to users of his scripts via Friendfeed discussions.

If you are a Friendfeed user then you should also see his other scripts for enhancing your Friendfeed experience. "FriendFeed Service Icons" and FriendFeedCommentBottomLink are two other scripts that Micah has created or contributed to that will add an extra dash of Awesome Sauce to your time on Friendfeed.
