Does actually what it claims to do
I recommended it on my script description page to users just wanting to remove apps from their feed.

p.s. Don't you miss the days when removing app stories was as easy as:
.app_install_story, .app_story { display: none !important; }

It took me 30 min to go through all the settings pages in Facebook to try and work out how to turn off stupid application messages.. but there is no setting to turn them off!! Thank goodness for this script is all I can say!!!!!
Now if only there existed a script to give us the "old" Facebook homepage. The new one sucks monkey balls.
