This small script really works for me. But it works not always (for example, it doesn't work on Google, it doesn't replace Russian texts). For Opera, there is more powerful text replacement tool, RePlaceTeXt extension (also written in javascript). See it for yourself: RePlaceTeXt

All this does is replace the text "im*o" with "in my honest opinion". Due to the licensing of this script, that is all it can ever do - the license explicitly disallows derivative works.

This is actually worse than not being available at all, because it is so high in Google rankings that it is the first thing people come across and base their scripts upon. But without explicit permission from the author, those derivitave works are all breaking the licensing terms.

Wanna replace some text? , Mar 3, 2010

This script is simple and my favorite. Once in a while element hiding doesn't work out, and sites I otherwise love insist on doing things stupidly. Or more often users. Here is a straightforward script that has made a site full of important information far more readable. The script needs a few more revisions, and I have no doubt Joe will do what he can. He listens and has steadily improved capabilities. The functionality is 100% there.

Current version(v1.0.5) works fine with plain text, but doesn't have Unicode support.
