There's a much more unobtrusive way of doing this, but only if you're using Firefox. Download the Greasefire extension. It highlights the Greasemonkey icon when there are scripts for the current page, auto-updates at any schedule, and gives you its own little window to view results in.
Just saying, I use that... But either way, if that doesn't work or whatever, this is great!
