instead of going directly back to the inbox after a reply, it seems to reload the entire page, disconnecting and re-signing in chat

This script is great for having email conversations in Gmail. It lets you reply and automatically go back to your inbox. Then you can wander to another tab and the Gmail inbox count will indicate when a response occurs. It's extremely helpful so you don't forget to go back to your inbox, miss a new reply, and leave someone hanging in the conversation because you got distracted.
