I've used to view the page through the print preview, This helps a little, though the CSS of MSDN relating the code-font is still horribly wrong (not your fault of course).

if you find your self going through MSDN
at all, then you will love this script.

i get a full screen to read articles, and
can hide the nav pane, and header at will.

wish i had this sooner.

Only thing I can't figure out is how to get the top bar back for searching. I can dbl click the side bar to get it back, but the region to dbl click on for the header is not to be found......

Not that it matters much since I use google to search MSDN since it does a better job.
