Thank you for writing this script. I had become so annoyed with endlessly attempting to manually disable these in-text ads. Some, like Vibrant purport to allow you to disable it, but sometimes disabling it works, sometimes it does not. In any event after a day or two they come back. I don't have to worry about that any more. They are gone -- all of them.

I was about to stop using visiting msnbc's website for my news because of in-text ads they use. It was so frustrating to have to close 5 popups per article just because my mouse happened to roll across one of their annoying in-text ads.

I just tried this on wisegeek.com and it removed double underlined links fine (and mouse-over popups) just fine. Thanks.

Removed the annoying "highlighted and underlined" test that would pop up a Bing/Vibrant media.
Another tool to making my news reading peaceful.

The script seemed too good to be true!

After installing the script successfully, I restarted Firefox and visited:
http://www.vibrantmedia.com/whatisintellitxt.asp

Unfortunately, the script doesn't appear to have any effect on the annoying Intellitxt!

I'm surprised because this script has been updated Dec 2008!

Please test on your end and let me know if its working.
