Disclaimer: I fully admit that my own scripts probably contain some of the issues I'm talking about here. I make no claims of perfection myself, nor do I consider myself a particular authority on the matter. The following review is just my opinion, and is intended to provide useful feedback. Please excuse me if I slip into a rant, and I will amend this review in the future as it's appropriate.

Onward ...

While I appreciate all the effort that has gone into this script, it tries to do way too much all at once. It crams in so many features that I find myself turning it off more often than I actually use it. IMHO scripts should focus on doing one thing well rather than trying to do many unrelated things at once.

I LOVE the city and building level indicators, but lately the author has added so many "features" with no means of turning them off that it's getting quite frustrating.

Here's what I mean:

I don't care for the alliance tools in Ika-Core. There's even a new change that adds a search button on a new line to the alliance view. It makes the lines twice as high and there's no way (that I have been able to easily find) to turn this off. In my opinion, there are other scripts out there that do a much better job of handling the alliance page. I'm not against having many different scripts that provide alliance tools (more choice is always good), but I hate to see it crammed into a script called "... search tools".

The author has added a basic research times calculation (which should have been in the Ikariam v0.3.2 anyway) so it's a good feature, but I use another research times script that I like much more. There's no way of disabling the one in Ika-Core. Why cram research times into a script called "... search tools"? I'd rather see the author write a separate script for this feature.

There are lots of other little things like this that make me re-consider using this script, which is still very good in theory. I'm just not sure I can get past all the little bells and whistles that I don't want.

To the author (again, just my opinion): I do love all the hard work you've put into this, but PLEASE put in options to disable ALL individual features if you are going to cram so many into your script. Again, I would much rather see you create individual scripts that each focus on a specific tasks rather than having one script that tries to do everything at once.

This is a decent script except that it has some server issues.

Apparently the developer is trying to work out the bandwidth problems but in the meantime, the script makes some game pages take forever to load. Some searches never return results also creating long load times.

Some of the features are somewhat buggy and conflict with other Ikariam scripts.
