Amazing!! , Nov 15, 2009

This is almost absolute awesomeness! Can't believe that Netflix hasn't done something like this directly on their site. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to sort on multiple fields, i.e. Genre and Title.

The solution I needed- SWEET! , Aug 1, 2009
Review written by neofactor - see all my reviews (1)

I recently bought the Samsung BlueRay Home Theater system BD1250 which has Netflix Streaming.

Since we have kids... I was going crazy trying to sort all of their "Children & Family" rating stuff to be 1st in the list and alphabetical. I did not want the Mommy and Daddy stuff to be listed on top.

I tried to get Netflix to offer a sort option without any luck. Then a quick script search here and WOW! EXACTLY what netflix (and I) needed.

Now I just sort by Genre and it sub sorts alphabetical as well. Issue resolved!

Perhaps Netflix should borrow this for their own site directly. It is the missing link for those with streaming systems on their TVs.

The only thing this script needs is a little visual flair and it would be styling with the best of them.

Excellent Script, and a couple of suggestions. , Mar 16, 2009

This script is remarkable...I'm not sure why Netflix has hasn't allowed us to do these sorts all along!

I have a couple of ideas that might be useful to users of your script, that I hope you'll ponder on.

To me, it would be great if Titles that start with "The ", "A " and "An " (thats "The [space]", "A [space]", and "An [space]") would have "The", "A" and "An" ignored in the title sort. This would mainly avoid the logjam of titles under "T" and "A" that currently happens because so many titles start with "The", "A" and "An" . It requires extra effort to search for the title "The Postman" under "P", to then realize it's under "T".

To illustrate, I currently have 23 titles in my Queue (out of 101 total) that start with "The". Not even one of the 23 would be listed under "T" if it were not for the "The". I wish my DVR was able to exclude the "The", "A", and An", too, but thats another story! :-)

My second suggestion would be a sort by HD (for Instant Queue) and Blu-ray (for DVD Queue). I'd really love to be able to group all my HD titles together.

Thanks for your previous efforts, and anything further you implement with the Netflix Queue Sorter!

It's such a pleasure to search for something and find exactly what I want, right away. This script does just what I hoped it would, smoothly, quickly, and accurately. Thanks.

This rocks for the Roku box , Aug 23, 2009

Since the Roku only gives you a list of movies, and doesn't have grouping and sorting in its queue, I've been searching all over the internet for something like this.

I haven't found any problems with Maarten's script. It is great, and a huge timesaver!

Fantastic! , Feb 3, 2009

I had over 400 movies that needed to be sorted for the instant queue. Installed this script. Ran it. Worked perfectly. Now I can actually have some type of order/control over the queue. Thank you very much.

Best thing ever for my Roku , Nov 5, 2009

Before I found this script, navigating my queue on the netflix site and on the Roku menu was a chore, and super annoying when you have 300 movies. Somewhere I came across a post for the Netflix Queue Sorter and man am I glad I downloaded it. I shuffle first by title and then by genre. It just makes things so much easier. Now, my kids can easily navigate to "their" section on the Roku player. Love, love, love this script!!!

Addes one missing netflix feature , Jun 8, 2009

Allows quick and easy sorting of your netflix queues based upon how you prefer it. Adds easy to use buttons right on the screen and doesn't try to do anything too complicated. Just reorders your queue based on the available numbering system, and asks you to hit Save.

My Instant queue is now alphabetical for easy searching.
