Finding what movies are on my Scientific Atlanta digital cable box/HD-PVR is a frustrating time-consuming nightmare, so I don't bother - I just go to Zap2it.com's online tv guide (pre-set to show my local listings).

With this script, not only are movies now more identifiable in the full listings, but with just 1 click I can be on the movie's IMDB.com page - which allows me to find out whether the movie is worth watching, to see if I've already seen it before, to see who's in it, or any number of other things that IMDB can tell me about a film that the brief synopsis in the guide fails to.

Automation is good. Everyone who uses Zap2it's tv listings should install this script.
