This works perfectly on snopes.com.
This is what the web needs. Freedom!
What I mean is that the internet is about freedom of speech and sharing information with everyone everywhere. Disabling basic text (and other) functionality in the browser in unintuitive to common practice and overall hurts usability and usefulness.
This script reverses some of that. THANK YOU!
I may seem to blow this issue out of proportion, but when faced with the principle of freedom online, we must be vigilant in securing every liberty. ;) ;)
Thus, overall and post-rant:This script does a great job of exactly what it states. It's well written and my hat goes off to the author!
I hate Noscript because it has an all or none mentality. Instead of allowing me to block only a few sites, I have to block every site I've ever visited in all my life and I have to allow them one at a time. Additionally, it slows Firefox down tremendously. Nope, not a fan of noscript.
You don't come across many sites that block text copying, Snopes is one. I think it's a little presumptive of them to think that everyone is wanting to steal their whole entire article, don't you? I mean, they're not THAT good. I only want it to highlight text in Diigo.
This little script works wonders. Thanks much!
Simply working very well for me. Thanks
Does what it promises to do.
Yay a script that unblocks the idiotic Snopes selection block.
Work as it should !!! :)
