First -- this is a sorely needed script and I am very happy to have it. Google Labs fixed-width font only works if you turn it on every time you want to view a message with fixed width. That is very annoying. So thank you very much for this!
One small thing -- I notice that when I view text that has a double space after a period and before the beginning of the next sentence, this script will wrap it in a funny way: It will begin a line with a single space in the middle of a paragraph. That is not good, but maybe that would be very hard to fix.
My best to you, and thanks again for sharing your code with all of us.

I've been using this script for a while now. It's much better than every other gmail fixed font script I've tried because:
-There is no need for a UI toggle since it only applies to plain text messages.
-It's simple and just works.
-It keeps getting updates to work with the newest versions of gmail.
Great work! Thanks!

I can finally view my mail in fixed width -- thanks *so* much (finally, those ASCII art signatures work).
One bizarre problem is that the mail editor still uses proportional fonts. At first I thought it's because I have Gmail Labs' broken fixed font hack on, but after I turned it off, and reloaded Gmail, it still does not work. I have FireGPG and Folders4Gmail installed, if that might cause problems.
