It really annoys me when I am surfing the web and every time I click anything another page opens, I start with 1 tab and by the end of the hour I have accumulated 30 of them.

This keeps your browser in check, after all this is what the back and forward buttons exist for!

Control+Click/Middle button click on a link to open it in a new tab and control the number of tabs you have open.
