I've used the linkification addon for firefox for a while, but it's a nuisance because it tends to slow down firefox and cause firefox to go into page loading loops quite often. I only need links "linkified" for certain sites, so having this happen to every page on the web gets irritating. Thanks to this script I can now @include only the sites I want linkified and keep firefox running faster.
This is absolutely necessary to have.
It may be placebo but this script feels faster than Linkification which I've been using for as long as I can remember.
It doesn't hit all the links that Linkification does. http://yellow5.us/firefox/testcases.txt
But, maybe that's why it's faster?
Simple, fast, and it works without a problems.
Amazing script, just what I was looking for.
The only exception I had was when a URL preceded with a word and a period by mistake:
i.e. My name is Dan.http://www.dan.com
This picks up the following URL:
However, if I change Line 93 to:
it works perfectly.
Any reason why period can be accepted prior to :// ?
Thanks a mil!
This script is very useful to avoid annoying copy/paste ...
I switched from Linkification add-on to this userscript and it's been working really well so far. Actually at some points, it works better and faster than the add-on.
Works very well in Chromium nightly (currently 9.0.562.0). Thanks a lot for making this, I had almost given up finding something that works.
