Great work - this has been a complaint for months since youtube forced non-alphabetical add to playlist...

Kudos - I hope you can keep this live if they change code. This will save myself & many other youtubers lots of time & frustration.
Thanks again !
that stupid new "add to" menu wasted my valuable time in past few months by making me finding the playlists, some times I spent more than 5 minutes to find the exact playlist that I wanted to add, I don't understand why those stupid f**kin' youtube developers can't understand it,
anyway thanks a lot again for making this!

Within the limits of its present scope this script is working great. There are a few limitations to be aware of, as the script does not seem to apply to all instances where one can add a video to a playlist. I suppose I should document those in detail, but for the purposes of this review, they're irrelevant.
I've used the script in Chrome, by the way, with Tampermonkey installed. Users might have trouble with this one if they do not have either Greasemonkey (in Firefox) or Tampermonkey (in Chrome) installed.
There's room for improvement, I'm sure, but considering what a major pain in the arrears the list ordering YouTube's genius devs decided made sense, the value of this script in practical terms outweighs any reservations I might have... better that it work and work well in the most likely settings than waste time and energy carping about the relatively few and minor exceptions (which I'll try to document as bug reports rather than include in my overdue, promised review).

I HAVE KNOW IDEA WHAT YOUTUBE WAS THINKING WHEN IT HAD THE BRIGHT IDEA TO MAKE "ADD TO PLAYLIST" FUNCTION RANDOM?!?!! ARRG! I AM SO SO GREATFULL FOR THIS SCRIPT AND I HOPE IT IMPROVES OVER TIME TO GIVE IT MORE CUSTOMABILITY.
have been looking for something like this for a while and stumbled across this while crawling the forums for something else
only suggestion is maybe to add a display options menu ie. button in the add to dropdown or in the like/add to/share lines with the folowing options
1. list type: default yt, alpha list (cloud) as is currently , alpha list( expanded dropdown) ie one column like yt def but has all avail pl visible (forces dynamic/fixed expanded box type)
2. box type: default yt style, fixed expanded width like currently, or dynamic/fixed expanded( only as tall as it needs to be for the list type chosen)
Paolo,
It did not work for me on Vista / Firefox 8.0.1. I sure wish it would. Unbelievable that YouTube doesn't already do this.
