Black is great for jeans & t-shirts, and lovely ladies' long hair. Google homepage menu? Not so much. This script fixed the problem just fine. Thank you.
thank you for this much need workaround. google needs to pay you for potentially saving millions of clients. if this workaround goes viral tons of people will not have to take their computeres in anymore thinking a rogue virus has taken over google. please fix the huge obnoxious search icon. reduce the size and font of the magnifying glass. how retarded google.
I'm impressed with this script.
Since my substandard google fu prevents me from finding something similar that works for Safari, I packaged the GoogleBarClassic code into a Safari extension and presto, the old Classic Google Bar is once again mine in Safari, too. w00t!
It's a good extension..but it lags google..when scrolling and etc.
Thank you so much!
The script does a pretty good job of eliminating the black bar from all Google sites within the Chrome browser I tried, but it broke the HTTPS security on gmail, which is something I'm not interested in playing with.
Great but it breaks lots of functionality on Google Calendar.
For some reason, when the script is running, the "go back to the old calendar look" option (under the gear in upper right) in Google Calendar goes away. Good so far otherwise.
The black bar and the red print were making me tense. This one little script has made it allll better. Thank you!
UPDATE: THIS BUG IS FIXED - Thanks Olmer
Breaks Google Voice Contacts 'Edit' and 'Groups' Buttons
When using this script the 'Edit' and 'Groups' buttons on the Google voice 'Contacts' page are greyed out and no longer work. This prevents you from being able to edit your contacts while the script is running.
The contacts page works fine once I disable this script in Greasemonkey. Maybe the author can look into this for a future version.
Other than that, it does exactly what it is supposed to do. I like it.
