Unless i've seriously missed something, it seems to be the problem with VLC plugin itself. Enable debug mode (wrench/tool icon ;) ) and paste output to some <a href="http://pastebin.com/">pastebin</a>. Are you using 0.9.2 or 0.9.3-git ?
