I installed Firebug but I have never used it before and don't know what data you need from it, or how to go about getting it. If you are unable to install Firefox 3.0.1, you could use the following portable version. It doesn't need installing and makes absolutely no changes to the system - all settings are written to a virtual directory structure and stored in a 'sandbox' folder in the same directory you run it from. It can be run from a USB drive and have greasemonkey, firebug and your scripts installed as usual. Probably easier for you to diagnose that way than me learning firebug.
