hey michael elliott, i've tested gmail without my script on narrow window widths, & it has the same behavior whether my script is enabled or not. gmail displays a scroll bar when the width becomes too small. I also don't have the weird firefox behavior you described. I assume that you have a buggy extension or theme interfering & causing all this.
