I have been having the same problem just starting yesterday. It was working, and then suddenly stopped working. Shitf-Y just expands and collapses the selected item. This is several machines, some with FF 3, some with 3.5.2. Both with the straight greasemonkey plugin and the Better Google Reader add-on.
