There are many safeguards in using version control.  Among the many this one stands out in my travels.  Trying to &quot;cover up&quot; an open-sourced project by deleting old changes will be a guarantee of loss of credibility.  Another is referencing material.  Everyone will make mistakes... anyone who thinks that they don't shouldn't be scripting.</body>
