Ah ha... I see now. I'm way too lazy to rebuild the icon pixel by pixel. :) With 'Title Tweaks' enabled I have the unread count right there in the title (only if I'm on #inbox probably) so I'm good without the count in the icon as well. ...disabled the unread count in the script and my gray and red icons are happy now.
