script that blocks all web pages except for a whitelist of pages you specify

I'd love one of those--I know it sounds crazy. But I really need to keep myself from surfing. |

http://lifehacker.com/software/greasemonkey/inv... You can use that, then just apply it to *, and exclude the pages you don't want blocked. |

I've had that script on my system for a while, but I keep disabling it when I REALLY want to see what's new at Lifehacker... then it's all down hill after that. So, basically, it's ineffective if you're OCD like me (note: I'm not really OCD... well, not clinically anyway). |

Well there's not going to be a Greasemonkey script that keeps you from disabling it, because you they'd all be just as easy. You could edit your windows Hosts file, but that's a blacklist, not a whitelist. If you're really having a problem wanting to disable it, you could grab the RSS feed, load it into your Reader, then resist looking at that. |
