Since october 28th update, the fbpurity script don't block all apps. I disable the whitelist for block absolutely all fb apps, but this last updates not block all apps.

So I decide to downgrade for the october 26th update, in the 26th update all apps have been blocked included the apps in the whitelist (Without Exception).

Add another for YouTube. I've got my account linked with Facebook to show videos I favorite, but FBP blocks them from the newsfeed.

Some might consider iLike too spammy, but I'd love to see it whitelisted without having to do it manually: app id = 2413267546

I installed the latest version this morning, and it is not working properly.

First, apps continue to show on the home page (Live Feed)until I click on Show for either apps blocked or extras. Then when I click hide again, the apps no longer show on the main page. But this is an annoying extra step.

Then, when I click on show extras, and need to click on Older Posts to show older extras, it mixes in status updates and apps instead of older extras. I click on hide, then show again, and I get a longer list of extras including the older ones.

Finally, when I click on show blocked apps, status updates, videos, and other regular posts are showing along with the blocked apps.

It seems this version has a lot of kinks to be worked out. Is there a way to download the older version from before this morning (10/29)?

Would it be possible to have a Boolean variable to have this feature enable or disabled. I actually like seeing those extras as part of the Live stream.

Also the show/hide part of the blocked apps/extras don't seem to work properly. eg if you show the extras, then hide them again, it seems to show the blocked apps.

Are you look at the "status feed" or the "news feed"? The status feed has a blocked amount of "0" for me as well, but when I switch to the news feed, the purity hides the applications and such...

I see the "FB Purity blocked:" thing, but it says 0 ... and I have a page full of Mafia Wars, Farming, etc. crap. I'm using FireFox v.3.5.3. and Vista. I hope this starts working again, because FB Purity was the ONLY THING keeping me from quitting FaceBook.

if you look up above your post, just below the title of the script, you will notice : "Last update Oct 26, 2009". I think if the script wasnt working since 23rd october, there would be lots more posts complaining about it.

can you give some more info to help diagnose the problem you are having,
what browser + browser version and operating system, are you using,
are you using any other gm scripts that also affect facebook?

if using firefox, could you also go to the tools menu, and select "error console"
copy and paste any error messages you see

do you see the "FB Purity hid x app msgs" bit in the top right hand corner of the page?

if using firefox, have you checked that the greasemonkey extension is not disabled, there should be a brown monkey face in the bottom right corner of the page if greasemonkey is enabled.

I've cleared the cache and refreshed several times. FP is not blocking the usual stuff like Mafia Wars. I installed the latest 10/23 update. FB recently changed the Live Feed/View News feed feature. FYI.

ive updated the filter in the latest version, so it should catch more apps, let me know if it now blocks the ones you were previously seeing get through.

I noticed that the Counter for blocked apps was higher than normal, but when I clicked on show, it only showed me 1 app being blocked, when I hit refresh on the browser, it reset the Blocked App counter to 1.

I think what happens is that when you go between the news feed and the live feed, the counter keeps increasing.

For some reason "What is the first letter of your true love's name" quiz was not being blocked. I had to block it manually.

I've got it.

You have a function

if(location.href.match('\/home\.php')) cleartheshizzle(document);

that makes sure that the script only runs on the home.php page. For some reason and this has happened to me before my HREF's look like this:

1. I click on my bookmark http://www.facebook.com/home.php
2. I then click on Profile or my name http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/mlevit?

See what it does is instead of clearing the URL and replacing it again, it just appends mlevit? to the end of it leaving home.php making your script thing that it's still on the homepage.

Whereas when I go to my profile page directly http://www.facebook.com/mlevit the home.php doesn't exist in the URL and therefore your script doesn't run.

I think it has something to do with Firefox. Like I said before I've encountered this issue before but it fixed itself.

Yeah not sure why it's happening mate. I tried uninstalling your script and reinstalling again with no success.

Under what conditions do the posts get that border to appear around them? and what determines which posts get them? Maybe after the script has run on the homepage it may have set a value to true that would then categorise everything as a blocked app but without hiding it.

I haven't read your script so I'm not too sure, but I'll have a look now.

Hey,

When I visit my profile page by using the Profile button coming from my Home page all my posts in my profile have your fbpblocked border around them.

I have noticed that I go directly to my profile via the URL they don't appear. But if I first visit my Home page then click either Profile or my Name the borders appear around all posts.

Steeev just use Buzzy's Userscripts - AutoUpdater script (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/52251).

You add one require line of code and one function call and you're done. Works well and looks great too.
