Because of nostalgic reasons :) It got many installs, so a lot of egoboo for me. Also, if it stays, it will be easier for other writers to fork it.

Hey mysterious. I've been planning to rewrite this script for a long time, when I get time for it. I'll implement your fix in the mean time. Thanks for the heads up!

It seems that IMDb changed it's code a few weeks ago and this script stopped working. To fix it I edited the code(Tools->Manage user scripts->Edit) and changed the first line in the addIconBarIcons function from

"var iconbar = xpath("//strong[@class='title']/../../p[1]/table/tbody/tr", document);"

to:

"var iconbar = xpath("//strong[@class='title']/../../table[2]/tbody/tr", document);"

It was a long time since I did any programming and I don't know if this is a good solution but at least it works for me and I figured I might as well share my fix in case someone else wants to bring this very useful script back to life.

Hi,i noticed a mistake in the script.At the mininova column,when clicked it searches for the movieÂ´s Cat Number instead of its title.What i get as search results is a fuzzy number (2364734)(the one in imdb url)

weird - it won't install. The download window just blinks on and off and I never get the GM window. Even after saving a local copy. Have to investigate.

I wrote the guilt-o-meter. I'm glad you like it, but surprised since you say it doesn't actually work for you :-(

I just reinstalled it to make sure it wasn't a problem with the script in userscript.org's repository, and it still works fine for me and I'm interested in finding out what's wrong with it so I can fix it.

I wonder if there's anything interesting in the console and the other usual things, GM version, firefox version, platform, if you don't mind letting me know.

In exchange, I'll take your IMDB torrent linker around the block a few times and let you know what I think. (I tried to contact you through your blog but there's not an obvious "contact author" link. Maybe I just can't find it because it's in the wrong language for me).

Oh, and the include is based on what I see in the URL bar for discussions, e.g. : http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl
but feel free to change it if you'd like!
