Hi Splatypus,

thanks again for the script! I just got the new gmail version and (unfortunately) the script doesn't work with it... (the "reader" link is not present). Are considering another upgrade to be used with the new gmail?

Thanks again,

I've updated this script to fix the breakage.

Icons have been restored and the embedded reader is centred.

You can find it at http://www.zshare.net/download/45625805e01050/

I found a solution. Since the problem is due (at least I think so) to the new google reader style, installing the following script (that get rid of the reader search bar) will center the reader panel again:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/12197

Hi,

I can see the total amount of unread news (in parenthesis beside the "reader" feed), but not for the each labels (but u can see that cause the relative font is changed to "bold" whenever there are some unread news in that specific category). I think it is intentional, cause it would probably get too messy if you have a lot of categories.

I miss the counters from the feeds (ok, it takes up some space...). Is that intentional?

I have a bug with this script. I think, some of my feeds from www.pantagraph.com local newspaper around here, when using this script it wont list the feeds, but it list them fine n reader on the main page, is this because a setting? I dont think im getting all the feeds when using this script, The icon urls all need updated by the way also. I updated mine for myself but i still need the other part fixed. Could someone please fix this and make it to where it list all the feeds like normal thanks.

A couple of requests to an already fine script:

1) Force the Reader connection to use
https://
secure connection if Gmail is open securely. Maybe integrate or borrow code from 'Google Secure Pro' (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/5951). Otherwise, it breaks the secure Gmail connection.

2) Option to have the expansion of one pane collapse the other. Frex, expanding Reader automatically collapses Gmail; collapsing Reader expands Gmail; expanding Gmail collapses Reader. A one-click switch.

3) Since all of the Reader navigation is added to the Gmail nav bar, hide the Reader chrome in the pane. It would probably be best to mirror the 'Settings' and 'My Account' links to the Gmail nav bar so the Reader top bar could be hidden as well.

Otherwise, thanks for the great work!

First of all, Great Script!!!

I have been using this script for some time now, and recently, the entire interface has been showing with the links. It used to show the links on the left and just the view that I selected. Now the links display on the left and in the viewing pane.

This is great! There's just one thing. If all my feed labels are listed on the left side, does the screen need to show the full Google Reader page? I'm not very script-savvy, so just tell me if that's too tricky.

I love this script! But I'm having just one issue here... when I press 'v' to open feeds in another tab, it just opens one new tab for the first feed. Then, every feed that I open after it will open in the same tab, not on a new one. Is it possible to make each feed that I open with 'v' load in a new tab? Cheers!! (and tks!!)
