My filter assistant is no longer grabbing the senders email address. It still populates mine fine but the senders address is blank every time. Is this some known conflict? I just reinstalled the script and it's still doing it.

Hi Amos,

Maybe this is not the best place to ask, but you must have done some reverse-engineering / guessing of how Message IDs work in Gmail... could you help me? I'm trying to write a script that fetches certain headers of a Gmail message, but the only obstacle is that I can't figure out how to get the "id" (what Gmail uses) of a message. When there is only one message in a thread ("conversation"), it can be got from the URL, otherwise I don't know... it doesn't seem to be stored in the DOM; do you have to intercept one of Gmail's js functions to find out?

Thanks for any help, shreevatsa.public [AT] gmail [DOT] com

I have found a style for what iforget talked about : http://userstyles.org/styles/9191
but you also need to update the main style you use.
Only problem I found with this style is that the script add new label action is in java script and not implement with the gmail add new label action.
ming , can you please update the new label request so it will not look like an old script window?

The thing you see in Gmail is not from GFA, it's from Google. I guess the problem is from the style you are using.

I'd love to use the 'read as marked' filter, but it's not available in my Filter Assistant. I successfully installed the script and the Filter Assistant is present in my gMail, but the option 'read as marked' is not there. No errors in my error console. Using Firefox on a Mac, could that be the problem?

Thanks for this great idea, and almost great execution. =)

There is a peculiar issue I have discovered, and it relates to the way this script utilizes display adapters or video cards.

I have tested this on two different machines, one brand new and very fast, and the same issue occurs.

When this script is enabled in Greasemonkey, it causes Flash video (and possibly other video in and out of the browser) to "jump" at a consistent interval of around 1.5 seconds. This occurs regardless of the tab in which the video is viewed within Firefox.

Also, when I disable only this Greasemonkey plugin, I must refresh Gmail, and then the issue stops. When I reinable this plugin and refresh, it begins again.

It would be great to resolve this. It is very annoying. =)

Any thoughts?

Best,
