While watching a video, I'd like to know the quality of the video without having to scroll down.
Somewhere near the top of the page?

For an example, like this script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/39432 that is able to manipulate the favicon.

Thanks, that does it.

But still I believe that it would be more unobtrusive if it was placed on top (as many people will find it useful).
I think the "YouYube Ultimate" script has something similar implemented.

if you don't like it, you can comment out the line on the bottom of the code that says:

w.hdsuite.createMenu();

Hi,

I really really love the way YouTube HD Suite visualizes videos in SD, HQ, HD etc. but the latest version has the tab that can open the configuration placed on the left side and it's distracting.

Maybe putting it on top next to "Create Account" or "Sign In" would be the place more fitting for that.

I made this user script into a Firefox add on if anybody wants it.

I did this so I could still use this script with Minefield 3.7a1 for windows, which is the fastest web browser there is. It kicks ass using minefield. It's very fast. I'm running my browser solely through a RAM DRIVE.

So if you want an add on version of the latest version of this script, then you can download it here. It works great.

The visualize button helps if say, you're on a new forced mandatory beta youtube channel, and you hit see all videos, or if you select grid view. Since on the new channels, the little SD HQ HD boxes only show up on a channel until you hit see all videos or hit grid view or favorites, ect. When it refreshes, all the color coded boxes disappear. the visualize button brings the little HD HQ SD boxes back. The script never needed an option menu. It's perfect. Other HD scripts are massive failures. No other scripts even play in fmt 18 35 or 22. This script is legendary.

You just need to hit the red Suite button, then hit visualize. That would make the boxes appear next to the videos again.

This does not seem to work in the new channels when looking at favorites and such. Only the first 12 are changed when looking at Favorites in the New Channel design. Is there a way to make it do all of them? Also, it does not seem to work at all when looking at Favorites in Grid Mode.

I have the same problem, the script is working but you don't have access to the menu. When iam click on the Visualize nothing happends. Got the last release of the script ofc.

Hey dude, you absolutely win the prize. I just tried about a dozen YouTube download scripts and this is the ONLY one that allows me to directly download the HQ clip from the search results page and bypass altogether the shitty, S-L-O-W YouTube crap interface. Now I can just view the clip with a good player in seconds. Thank you!

i've used 4-5 youtube scripts here, YouTube HD Suite is definitely the best

and i totally agree with blackandy123, plzzzzz add downloadlink for fmt=17(3gp foramt) and smart naming function for the script, better a box with the video name in it, and auto select when mouse is at the box, like "Youtube Enhancer", so that we can get the video name easily by CTRL+C.
