Thanks for the hint. Didn't notice that. Apparently they changed the HTML structure a bit. The descriptions were not loading also.

Fixed that now, but you have to clear the cache now to reload the missing ratings.

Done. Don't forget do activate it via menu.

If it doesn't show up in the provider list, it means the javascript is cached. Go to http://hunecker.de/nowplaying/infoProviders2.js and press F5.

Changed Location of Providerinfo?, replied by Felix Hunecker

If you're familiar with js, you can copy the code back into the the script. Search for the line saying "// load infoProviders". And locate the GM_xmlhttpRequest block that loads the code. Inside the onload-function there is a block entitled "// enable infoProviders". Move this block outside the GM_xmlhttpRequest. After that you can replace the whole GM_xmlhttpRequest with the contents of this file: http://hunecker.de/nowplaying/infoProviders2.js.

So it should look like this:

// load infoProviders
infoProviders = null;

>>> Contents of http://hunecker.de/nowplaying/infoProviders2.js go here <<<

// enable providers
for (var i = 0; i < g_enabledProviders.length; i++) {
...

Anyway, if you have some good suggestions, let me know. I could include it for everyone. The cast list is shown in the popup (for most movies).

Changed Location of Providerinfo?, replied by DodgyC

Hey, nice work on updating the script with new features! One thing I'm a bit disappointed about is that you moved the Data Provider info all to a js on your own website. This means that everytime I use newzbin I'm also tapping your site too.

Also, now I can't change any of the specifics of the info that I get off providers, like adding a Cast List. Any way you could stick it all back into 1 js script that's not reliant on your own personal website please? Or a workaround so i could download the js and edit 1 or 2 lines to look for it locally?

Broken in Firefox 3.5, replied by Felix Hunecker

I found this in the Newzbin forum, maybe this will solve your problem:

Firefox has always had shitty performance with large tables, but there is a bug in 3.5 that makes it much, much worse.

This fix worked for me:

Got to: about:config
find: browser.sessionstore.privacy_level and change it from the default 1 to 2.
You may need to restart the browser.

This setting controls the extra data FF saves when you close the browser, like filled in form data, scroll position, etc. This settings disables it for all sites (1 disables it for secure sites, 0 enables for all). FF will still remember what pages you had open if have that enabled.

I modified the script to save me time... thought I'd share, replied by LostSoul

First off thanks Felix for an amazing script. I made a small mod to it that helps save me a ton of time and I'd thought I'd post it for you. I added a "Find All" link at the bottom of each group that will do a simple title search on Newzbin in a new window. It helps when you're looking at new content, but the size or format is not what you want, simply click the link and all title matches are shown in a new tab or window.

Here's the simple code I added... I hope it shows up properly. The line numbers take into account the extra code I added. Not sure if it's the best way to do it, but it works and I use it every time I find something new. Thanks again.

Line 893:
var findAllTag = null;

Line 911:
this.findAllTag = this.td2.childNodes[9];

Line 1009:
this.findAllTag = document.createElement("a");
this.findAllTag.target = "_blank";
this.td2.appendChild(this.findAllTag);

Line 1030:
this.findAllTag.innerHTML = "Find All";
this.findAllTag.href = "http://www.newzbin.com/search/query/?q=" + data.title.split(' ').join('+') + "&area=-1&fpn=p&searchaction=Go&areadone=-1";

It works if you change the line to:

posterURL = posterURL.replace(/\/Medium\//, "/Large/");
