Yeah I'm afraid it isn't working here either still. I feel that if it were to work it would become just about the most useful/best script for use out here so I'm looking forward to updates and checking daily at the moment.

Thanks for working on it!

I'm having the same exact problem as HunterUk, except changing the include didn't help. I really think this is a wonderful idea for a script but i just can't get it to work. I changed the search term to something really common as well, and the "user script commands" was still greyed out. any ideas? =/

jesus i forgot to change that, sorry
The greasemonkey doesn't change the include pages after it changes them itself
I'll include an update soon with the *new* gui
meanwhile, you can change it to:
@include *

I'm having problems setting the script up I think, or it's use is completely blocked out here somehow, perhaps you could help.

I've added "This site is blocked" to the blockedText array so it now looks like this:
var blockedText=["This Page Cannot Be Displayed","not found","This site is blocked"];

That is the title of the page that is displayed when a site is blocked but when I go to 'User script commands' it stays greyed out - I understand the list of working proxies should appear there? As a test I tried adding a really common word to the array like "the" so it should appear on pretty much any page but the user commands bit always stays greyed out.

Have I got the 'Included pages' part set up right? it just reads 'update_proxies' ("// @include update_proxies").

Could you help shed some light on this for me? They block a lot of proxy sites out here so I don't know if the problem lies with it being unable to check the proxies or if I just have it set up wrong.

I appreciate your time!

The script checks on everything in the html src itself, so I guess "This site is blocked" will work (i can't go on the page for some reason)
If there is an image, you can just add the image url, etc.
I'm currently working on some new features, including frame recognition, and auto-redirection, I think it'll come in handy soon :)
thanks for support of the script

Hi, I think this is a fantastic idea for a script! I'm currently working out of Dubai and have found they have very strict internet censorship here and I was wondering if you would know how to adapt this script to work around this - if it were possible I'd imagine that once word got out many, many people would be interested in it!

The problem is when a site is blocked it doesn't display a usual HTML page with a term on it that can be added to the array it instead displays a picture saying this site is blocked (http://proxy.emirates.net.ae/images-ip/sitebloc...) and at certain coordinates on the page corresponding to where links would be on the picture there are links to the UAE internet rules.

The source code for the block page looks like this:

This site is blocked

I don't know how to get the coordinates part of the code to display properly on here but it looks like this:
area title="" shape=RECT alt="" coords="201, 343, 389, 355" href="http://www.etisalat.ae/assets/document/blockcontent.pdf"

Do you think that the script could be adapted in such a way so as to be able to invoke the proxies by say the page title instead of text on the page itself? or perhaps when a certain hyperlink is displayed? This is far beyond my knowledge but if it were a simple edit of the script and you had the time/willingness to attempt this I know a LOT of people would be very grateful!

What would your thoughts be on this?
