wondering..., replied by neantror

if there is a way to make the script always choose the lowest quality instead of the highest ? i looked at the script but I'm too ignorant to understand it.. yet it would be nice for the slow computer that i use ..

I can't get it working, replied by philochs

I can't get it working on Vista 64 with VLC plugin for firefox. It simply removes the video and replaces it with a download link that I do not need. It dosen't seem to have an options to set it to vlc. I'm not sure the issue. Thanks.

Strange Problem, replied by ojalaque

I installed VLC and the plugin for firefox but when I try to view videos on youtube the player that always comes up is quicktime. When I disable quicktime I can see that the video loads up but then the progress stops (says stopped in the corner). Sometimes I can see a different media player beginning to play (I'm guessing this is VLC) but then it always just disappears and I'm left with a link that says Download. Any help?

Please help!, replied by Tom Luigi Cozzolino

I have installed greasemonkey, vlc plugin, and finally freeyoutube script. However, everything is still as it was (youtube plays with flash) after all this? I tried restarting my pc, disabling flash plugin, changing wildcard *.youtube etc. to www.youtube etc. ... nothing. greasemonkey and vlc plugin and the script are all enabled.

Everything should be according to instructions. Why no results? :-)

This plugin would really help me out, since I have a video-resizes-every-few-frames bug with the newest flashplayer+firefox 3.x . However, many pages (such as last.fm) requires newer flash version than flash8 (wich i have to downgrade to to watch youtube videos without the resize bug at present..)

An answer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time!

edit: I have winxp sp2 btw

I think that most of this (not blip.tv or vimeo but certainly the youtube and google video parts) could be ported by anyone who knew how... I don't really know much/anything about Opera userscripts.

It's spelled
recommended
.
And this isn't working. I have vlc with the plug-in. It always just says
Video is loading
.
And when you click download, it just makes a large black screen still saying
Video is loading
.
